Historic Preservation
Napa County Courthouse
The Napa County Courthouse located in Napa, California was one of the biggest casualties of the 2014 South Napa Quake, sustaining major cracks and holes in its façade that faces Brown St. Initial estimates concluded that the historic portion of the courthouse would be closed for up to two years.
Installation techniques for historic rebuilds often do not allow traditional attachment to the building, which is when shrink wrap scaffolding is necessary to shelter the damaged area.
Built between 1878 and 1879 by the Newsom Brothers, California’s foremost Victorian architects, the Napa County Courthouse utilized local brick and stands as an example of the High Victorian Italianate style. The Shrink Wrap Company was able to supply shrink wrap services to protect the beloved building as repairs were made and the building restored.

Argenta Hall at the University of Nevada Reno
When Argenta Hall, the University of Nevada Reno’s largest residence building, was severely damaged in a boiler explosion on July 5, 2019, many feared it was damaged beyond repair.
The Shrink Wrap Company provided emergency response to contain and protect the boiler area for future investigation to the cause of the explosion. It was considered a crime scene until it was deemed an accident, requiring shrink wrap containment. The building was partially condemned as unsafe with severely limited access.
The Shrink Wrap Company shrinkwrapped damaged areas of the facade along Artemisia and rear elevation that was almost completely blown out by the explosion. Repairs were estimated to be in excess of $40,000,000 with Clark & Sullivan Construction providing the CM.
The Shrink Wrap Company continues to provide wrapping maintenance and repairs for the building until the design, permitting, and reconstruction begin.
